I've been taking such great care of myself lately, more than ever before. My self-care has extended to nourishing my soul, awakening my mind and pampering my body. Life can be so demanding and stressful and finding balance between being a mother, working in my private practice, running a yoga business and doing a full time Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, has been the challenge of a lifetime. Which is exactly why self-care has been my top priority. Not only does it help me to relax, make me feel good and bring me bliss but it also allows me to be the best version of myself in all the different areas of my life.
Spa days can be hella pricey and if you know anything about me, you know that I am a cheap skate; so I devised my own DIY Spa Day!
My Spa day includes applying a face mask and soaking in a long beauty bath with a relaxing playlist soothing me in the back ground. I also do a full body scrub with products from the Kiyomisands summer rain collection and attempt to scrub all the calloses from my feet. I take my time applying vaseline to my skin in a way that resembles a massage. I then finish off with a cup of lemon and honey tea which I enjoy in my container garden as the birds chirp away in the distance.
